Ok, so now that I have the "go" handled, I want to put a little "show" in the engine bay. I need to re-route some hoses and see if I can just get rid of a couple. There is some wiring I can clean up also.

I was thinking of silver valve covers, the canton overflow and p/s, motoblue billet idler pulleys, but what else?

Ron (Spyder) is getting ready to sell some nice hoses. Also, skip the Scott Drake parts. They're overpriced and total crap.

This would look good on your valve covers.

Cats are nice, but I like unicorns.

Yeah I am going to have to look into a hose kit I think. That would look good if I can get the right color

How about a nice billet tensioner to brighten up the engine compartment? (Shameless Plug)

Actually that with the billet pulleys would look really sharp I think....

How about some Simple Green, an engine brush and a pressure washer to get all that grease and grime out.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I definitely need to clean everything up as a re-do the hoses and wiring. But in my defense I drive my car alot---it has 70k miles right now.

Jesus 70,000 miles? I am barely at 13,500 and i've had mine since February 06. Mine is a daily driver too, but I guess I just don't drive that much :) I'm a bit obsessive compulsive about detailing my car. I'm going to have to detail it again when Adam gets done with it at the shop.

I think your engine compartment look pretty good as is...nice and simple. A few polished or chrome items along with a bit of color like some hoses and you will be good to go.....nice car

+1 on the Canton tanks... get 'em polished up before you install them, and do some other polished accents, and it'll help.

Here's mine from the middle of last year. Since then, I changed the CAI to a C&L Racer, and I now have black Steeda valve covers, a Mezeire water pump, and some bolt covers sitting waiting to go on in my next modding blitz.

Well, getting a little closer on improving the engine compartment. I added the Canton overflow and power steering tanks, the Thumprrr billet tensioner, billet idler pullies, removed the whipple water tank (not needed since I have the much larger water tank where the battery used to be). Still have to get some good valve covers and do something with the hoses, then I should be done.
