Where the bulbs leds? I tried using leds for the license plate lights, and the circuit decided it didn't like them (would blink twice when arming alarm just like the normal bulbs, but would not illuminate when running lights were on). I put standard bulbs back in and they work fine now.
I had a 5sp Ranger tranny do something similar to me - it turned out to be that the "hub" portion of the synchro cracked in three places, causing it to "grow" a little in diameter and bind up the syncro ring. I have no idea how it happened (I had let a friend use my truck), but I did have to...
Be prepared (time wise) to replace one or both of the cam phasers. I wouldn't necessarily buy them ahead of time, but those phasers are a little on the delicate side, especially once you've taken the bolt out.
I saw your post from back in Nov to a thread about a member with a stuck bolt in a lower control arm where you mentioned that you have a EPAS rack from a 2013 GT that you are looking to get rid of. Are you still looking to get rid of it? If so, how much do you want for it?
