I have a 2006 GT that kept draining battery if it sat for a week or so like you have said, put charger on it and a week later it was dead again. My radio will only get over the air as it won't change disks or eject them. Got ticked off pulled fuse and haven't had a problem since. Now I don't...
Thank you Jeremy, after I posted this I located that dimension and will have to take a trip into town and look through the filter selection. Later, Dale
I would like to get a stock diameter/mounting filter but longer/taller than the stock one. I think there is one but don't remember the threads dia/number from working in parts store some years ago.
You might try removing ring & pinion. On small 90* air grinder and using a 2" dia. 80 grit disc chamfering all edges on both the R & P removing the sharp corners which I think might be causing the gears to scream. I am planning on doing this on my 06 GT but haven't gotten around to it.
on my 06GT I had intermittent battery draining. Replaced battery, kept an upkeep charger on it worked. But thinking about this and radio would only get non stereo FM?? I think?? Also I can't get the CD portion to do anything at all so I pulled the fuse to radio out of the Fuse Box on rt...
I have an x crossover pipe which is new which hooks to shorty headers or stock exhaust I believe. I also have new set of shorty headers. Brands???? Will have to look if you are interested and see if SS or ???
My 06 GT did the same thing until I smelled gas, raised the rear seat and tank behind driver seat was leaking where gauge is?? Either from factory or something replaced and rachet ring wasn't latched all the way around and o ring wasn't seated fully. Undid rachet ring, cleaned groove, inserted...
I made a 4" CAI using stock sensor??Maf?? and SC3 tune from American Muscle about 10 years ago. Still have the 06GT auto 100,000 miles now. I bought 89 and 91 tunes using a BBK 62mm throttle body. Runs good on 91 tune w/+2* added timing.
Do you want or can use any of my tunes? If so I can...
My BBK has a brass bolt/screw which is held in place by a small setscrew behind/under the part/cover that comes off. The brass bolt is hollow with a spring and a pin/piston sticking out of the bottom which opens the butterflies. I set the butterflies around a 1/16th" pushing/depressing the...
Quick off idle response
I bought an 06 auto in 2011 which had a CA and I too felt the throttle was a bit sensitive!! I bought a tuner from American Muscle/Bama and have had several tunes made for different 'upgrades'. One tune was waaay sensitive just like your's now, I asked them to slow down...
62mm BBK
I bought cheap a tb and screwed around with it and the stock one.
I installed wide open throttle blade positioners but the comp didn't like it and would 'wrench it', hooked up the SCT reset the code and drove it home. I did this several times first with 62 then the 55 figuring out the...
A Lucky One??
I bought a BBK 62mm used from a friends son and before I installed it I had BAMA send me a tune. I have since then made a 4"/100 mm MAF housing using parts from the previous CAI w/smaller diameter where the MAF sensor went and got a new BAMA tune.
I like the car better and...
