The biggest question is stick or auto. Followed by current mods and then planned mods.
Location plays a part too, if your close to a good shop/tuner go there
Funny to find out we are pretty much neighbors, lol (I live in Creighton so 15 min up 28 from pgh should put you pretty close)
I know Tim and Mike both well and have had work done by both. I would give the edge to Tim though just because of easier scheduling.
Its almost time for the track...
I wouldn't advise focusing on mph so much and worry about an et goal, that said, install the orx, airaid and a solid tune.
That will get you a few tenths and a couple of mph then get a converter, it will be your best bet short of a blower.
Don't waiste a whole lot of time n/a with the...
Its always best to check the rules at the tracks you run at before you decide on the tube/no tube thing.
Some tracks don't care (actually most) if you have tubes or not but some will not let you run a tube type tire with no tube.
Just an FYI thing.
Belated congrats Brett
Nice to see the madness over and your car on top again (well IMO anyway)
Not too badish r/t either, almost look like a bracket racer, lol.
Keep up the good work
long time no see Scott, lol.
thats one of the reasons I thought I'd comment here now (ie the 4.10 debate still raging after all this time) & I think my perspective is diffrent than most since I do see the value of 4.10's and I still like driing the car on the street with them.........but all...
agreed for shure :cheersman:
been following things and it looks like you hae done ok for yourself in the end, saw a video on youtube that even looked like your getting back to actual racing (the one I saw looked like a progression thru a 1/8th mi event of some sort) which I'm shure is a relief, lol.
Ive been laying low for awhile but I thought this is a perfect thread to comment on
as most know I'm on my 2nd a6 car and have tried stock converters and 5c converters on both along with 4.10s and 3.31s on both.
I have also tried stock, boss and cj intakes with multiple throttle bodies and...
the cars will get weighed when they get teched in, after that though we are on our own.
as to the weather, it might be better than what your used to, I'm not shure, generally speaking a car from here will be a tenth or so slow down there. if it works in you guy's favor weather wise, thats...
I have thought about things like weighing the cars too but the bottom line is that the NMRA wouln't hold up the program for us anymore than what they already have.
I don't see any chance of any records being set or broken anyway, the weather at BG that time of year doesn't really support it...
sounds good, car looks like it has real potential.
some folks & I were talking today & the topic of you bringing your car up for some "exhibition" runs was brought up.
