    Thanks for the comments. Scott Drake unit was easy enough to modify with a thick spacer (2x4 trimmed to width and painted black). If I go any thicker I will go with aluminum pedestal spacers.

    They are located back in the low pressure area of the hood. The hood is not flat. Any further forward and they'll be into the downsloping portion that stacks up higher pressure air and they would an air entrance not an exit. Any further back, and they would be into the high pressure that stacks...

    3 years + with my WL adjustable rear bar minus a few months when I was experimenting with 6 cyl bar. WL bar is back on and working perfectly. Adjustable PHB for about the same time. No complaints
