I swapped my bilstiens out of my 06 into my '12, and in return the Koni STR-T's out of my 2012 into my 06 without any problem. The key, I had aftermarket camber plates on the Bilstiens and left the stock upper '12 strut mount on the Koni when I put in on the 06. No issues

I guess it really depends on your course designer. I usually don't either, because in my region the courses have a tendency to favor the miata crowd, but there has been a few days where I needed less gear. I have 3.31s in the garage, just haven't done the swap yet.

I run 275/40/19 on my brembo wheels for daily driving. Works well and looks good because it fills the wheel wells nicely.

I'm with stepqhen, power isn't the issue. Though it can be fun to play with. Which is why I sold my 2006 and went with the 2012, that extra 120hp is fun stuff. If you where so inclined to want more power, I wouldn't go the cams route. Way to little return for the investment, and it would come...
