Thanks for the reply! Turns out it was that, too, for mine. The alternator relocation on the Department of Boost GT450 kit has caused COP#5 wires to wear through the insulation on multiple cars (mine included). Put some conduit around it and hopefully that keeps the problem from happening...

....just to add a data point.... I'm using a Walbro 460 from foreinnovations and the wiring upgrade (no BAP), and putting 597/608 to the wheels at 88% capacity (FPDC=0.44 at WOT 6.2k RPM)

Buy his long block, tear it down, buy a forged crank, sell the cast one, rebuild. Wouldn't be much more than $2300. Just the cost of difference of the cranks, head gaskets, maybe bearings? (I don't know details on the long block so I'm just guessing)
