My driver window started acting all funky and so I though “oh must be the timing i have to reset” well tried it many times. Even had a few friends try it to make sure it wasn’t user error. It’s hard to describe going on but from what i have read in here and the amazing powers of google. I can not find anyone who has had the same issue. So I made a video to show y’all. Any advise would be great!

Edit: yes I know my door panel is dirty and so are my hands. Was just finishing up new suspension for this season of autocross.

Not such an uncommon problem. If the rest does not work and you are sure it is done correctly then you need a Window Regulator.

Not so sure it's the regulator, as sometimes the glass goes up and stays up. How does the passenger side work when activated from the master window switch?

The passenger window works fine with the driver side control. The only times it stays up is when I hold it up the second time. If I just rely on the auto up and don’t hold it then it goes back down.

Without the car in my possession, it's difficult to say, but I would venture to say the culprit is the master window switch. And don't be afraid of aftermarket parts. If it was the regulator (doubt it) I would go with the Dorman. Ford does not have a factory that makes window regulators.

How old is the battery? A weak battery will cause havoc on these auto up&down windows. I would disconnect the battery for a while (15+ minutes) and then relearn both windows and see if the problem goes away or changes.

Battery is 2 months old. I tried that before posting. Right now I’m focusing on getting it ready for autocross (windows have to be down anyways) so it’s not a major thing at the moment.
