    Nah, it was about GT class regulations at Lemans. For forced induction it has to be below 4.0L, for NA it can be up to 5.5L, which is why the corvettes (at lemans) run a smaller displacement V8 than you get off the lots.

    Thump_rrr tensioner question

    I did have an issue while using a thump tensioner where a stock idler pulley sheared around the bearing. That said, the number of belts I was going through without the tensioner made the tensioner worth it. I just switched to billet wheel idlers with double bearings.

    The 2 spark plug styles side-by-side. The coil boot on the late 08-09 is longer. Would probably work fine. OEM 05-early 08 coils are more expensive than the later ones since you have to buy them in single units rather than a kit of 8.

    The problem, in this case, is not their harness. I tried it and the OEM harnesses on the opposite side of the car and they worked as expected. I metered the pins from the cars wiring harness and got some voltage on the tail light and on the brake/flasher, but they were very low.

    Yes, at just over 160MPH it flew off. Wind resistance is stronger than the plastic. The panel protects against rock flying up into the radiator and belt, so it's worthwhile having something there... I put on an APR carbon fiber splitter.

    I felt it was cheesy to mount the rods to the plastic bumper, so I went with their long rods and bolted a 3/4" aluminum angle piece to the actual bumper (tough material to drill holes into) to bring a mount point into the lower bumper opening.
