Up here in canada i can go to canadian tire and "rent" a spring compressor. You pay full price just in case you dont return it, but bring it back and they give a full refund. Can do almost all specialty tools this way. Nothing in the US like that at an autozone or something?

Is by chance your passenger side floor wet? If the cabin filter area gets plugged water builds up and drips over the sjb, causing all sorts of problems. Like pull up the carpet and check.

3M taped here, solid as a rock. The holes are locating holes only, dont help hold it on. Dont drill holes in your car!

Also, after torquing the caps down, i turned the engine so lobes were off the valves and retorqued. I made sure each cap was torqued with the least amount of pressure on each cap.

I have had hot rods for 3 months now. Agree with some hp and sound bad ass, but it does buck at low rpms if idling along, have to get rpms up a bit to smooth out. And yes I have 4.10 gears, and its tuned by brenspeed.

Mine rubbed the steering shaft with headers. I loosened the motor mounts and pushed the engine over a bit and re tightened the mounts.
