My current drag rim/tire set up includes a pair of SVE Gloss Black 15x10's (https://lmr.com/item/SVE-10071652H/Mustang-SVE-Drag-Wheel-15X10-Gloss-Black-05-14) on the back and my street tires (18" AMR's) on the front. I think I want to try 17x7 Darkstars on the front for the look.
Does anyone know how close they match in color to my SVE's?
Both Beefcake (http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/92-770147dsd.html) and CJ Pony Parts (http://www.cjponyparts.com/race-sta...k-chrome-direct-drill-17-x7-2005-2014/p/W516/) list the rims but list a different offset, 6.4 mm and 8.4 mm respectively. Who is right?
Does anyone make black lug nuts that work for this application?
Does anyone have pictures of this set up on their Mustang?
Thanks for the help.

Colors are completely different, yours are painted gloss black. Why not get the 17" SVE wheels that can use factory lug nuts. They will match your tears perfectly. The race stars are more similar to the SVE stainless color I would say.

Is this a drag only setup? Some street? Full time street/DD. Let us know what your wants use them for.

If it's drag only, I'd go with a 15" setup for tire choice and cheaper tire cost.

The 17" SVE's only come in 17x4.5. I want a more street friendly front rim & tire combination such as the 17x7's offered by Racestar. The setup will be used to drive to and from the track which is a far enough distance that I prefer not to run skinny front tires.
I do like the fact that the SVE's use factory style lug nuts.

Just fyi, I drive to an eighth mile track on big, little wheels with a fox body with no front sway bar, and everywhere else for that matter, can't really notice a difference. The track is 100miles away btw.

easiest way if your set on having a wider wheel is to buy the sve 17x4.5 send it to Weldcraft in Livonia mi and have it widened to 17x6.5 - but I put 2500 miles on my sve wheels with the mt skinnies this summer with out a problem= the 17" are a heavier rated tire they run up to 50 psi and don't flex and roll like a lot of the 15" 30 psi tires-
