I am looking to replace the headlights on my 2006. They are just looking tired. Ford says the part number for the right side headlight is 4R3Z-13008-AA (discontinued). LMR says the part number is 7R3Z-13008-C. Ford says that part number is for 2007-2009. Left side is a similar situation. Is LMR right and there is no difference in the headlights from 2005-2009 or is there a difference? Who has tried the 7R3Z-13008-C headlights in their 2005-2006?
Thank you.

I believe the earlier manufacturer of the headlight assemblies have that little black cap hanging down over the front of the bulb. I believe the later assemblies did not have it, I know the glue used to hole the lenses are different because one is easy to remove with heat and the other is a bitch, but if your not taking them apart they are interchangeable. I originally had some with the caps. I replaced them once with the later model without them. I tried to disassemble the newer ones and fucked them up. I bought a second pair that had the black caps and they came apart much more easily. I cut the black caps out of there when I had it opened for painting. But to answer your question, yes you can interchange them.
