"Corvette ZR1 with a tune and air filter vs 2013 GT500 with pulley, intake, tune"

I would say 670whp for the GT500 and 570whp for the ZR1. I know there is weight and shape difference favoring the ZR1 but still expected more from the GT500.

What r bashing your HP claims on?

At higher speeds aero comes into play. The ZR1 has the advantage there

Looks about right to me. Those Vettes are fast as hell! Especially from a roll.

So that turbo 5.0 with 550whp can pull a stock zr1, but a 670whp Shelby can't pull a tuned one? What the fux

(Told you the 5.0 jumped on 2nd honk..lol)

I agree with you all. Weight and aero are the factors favoring the ZR1. Just was expecting a little better from the GT500. I think we will see better in future :popcorneat:

HP claims are my expectations for both cars. I've seen similar numbers out of similar setups as well.

BEST reply of the year lol..

thanks for the laugh. on the streets, driver mod is very important. Don't forget the ZR1 also has the no lift shift. I now have a 09 C6 3LT vette.
I loved the stang, but this vette is the best car I've ever owned. They are truely beast on the big end. The aero, as mentioned, is also a really big factor.

close race. closer than i thought it would be. i know those zr1's are pretty fast. isn't the record stock like mid-high 10s at around 133mph? granted that was in good air, but still. and according to what i was reading, ZR1's gain around 40-50whp from a tune alone....

keep in mind how close that really was. the gt500 was only 1-2 lengths behind after 10 seconds of flooring it from a 60 roll. which means they were probably around 150mph at that point, so aero is going to play a part. from a dig it's a driver's race.

Lol ZR1 was stock and didn't go on the 3rd honk, there was no jumping.

This one is obviously modded and going to be faster than the stock one that we were beating the shit out of before we raced the turbo 5.0.

^ lol I know what a wot box is, but it's already built in on the vette. Not too many ppl who can afford a gt500 would want to mod it anyways.
