2013 Tail light LED replacement

I got a good deal on some 2013 tails that I just got today. I installed them and one of the six brake/turn signals is out. I downloaded a 2013 owner's manual and it says to have a dealer replace LED tail light bulbs. Do I REALLY have to? I mean I'm a tech retard and all, but it seems ridiculous to go to a dealership for a light change. *I found the light bulbs at Tousley, but still can't find instructions for the change.*

The pic above shows the gap. It's not really worse from other angles. It's less noticeable with my car being black.

There always has to be one... ;p

The tail light change is one of the things that convinced me to get the '13 instead of the '12. It fixed the one thing I really didn't like about the styling change in '10.

FYI, there is no instruction in the '13 manual for changing bulbs. It basically just says they are LED and don't need changes.

Love the 2013 Tail light conversion....would hate to have some bulb/leds go out.
Have a friend who has a 2013 trade you tails and take it in under warranty.

I'm sure of nothing. There is no cracks in the assembly and it appears structurally sound. I noticed no rattling, etc., when unpacking or installing it. I know the car they came off was wrecked, so something may have been knocked loose inside. I don't see a way to open it up without causing damage though.

Normally LED bulbs are sodered right to the circuit board....
Can you link where you found the bulb?

Anyways on a side note, I REALLY want a pair of these. You mind saying how much you got them for because a new set is around $1,300 =/

I think tousley's site is wrong. The diagram attached is a 2011/12 light, I think that's the part they've got.

Ya I noticed that as well being a 11/12 tail light.

And thats not bad, just sucks one wasn't working. Lol maybe see if you can find a buddy with a 2013 tails and take it in under warranty.
