This is actually the first thing I thought when I saw the pictures.

Some photoshop renders for your viewing pleasure. (or disgust. To each their own.) The roof line is not correct as far as I can tell, but the rest really helps to visualize a finished front end.

I'm a hardcore Mustang guy - I've owned ten of them, and I'm only 32. I thought the '05s were ugly as shit when they came out. (still do) To add to that, the '05s were still using the shitty 4.6 motors that didn't make crap for power. When the '10 came out, I thought they looked awesome, but were still crippled by the crappy 4.6 motors. When the '11 came out, I thought to myself "Ford FINALLY did it right after" ... especially after so many years with an anemic motor in the normal GT. I think the '11 and '12 look better than the '13/'14, mostly because I think the '13/'14 have a weird looking front end.

The '15 seems to look cool so far. I'd be thrilled if it drops a bunch of weight too, and no doubt it has an awesome powerplant. Win/Win as far as I can tell.

Lol @ 3v not making crap for power. They were as quick as the vaunted Mach I and every Cobra short of the supercharged 03-04.

They only made 300 hp. Meanwhile, everything The General produced would crap out way more power with ease. This is not a 3v vs The World argument. It's my opinion. I'm sure you love your motor.

I better tell my motor it's crappy, she clearly didn't get the memo.

No shit. lol @ 300hp being "anemic" from 05-10. What else were you going to buy new in that price range that was so much faster at that point in time?

Too be honest, I dont think I could handle just driving a N/A 3v again. I think it would be boring; especially since we have V6 cars from lots of companies that can run close to a 3v stock. Nothing was worse than seeing a Srt-4 turbo four or DSM with just bolt-ons walk the shit out of my old 2v N/A back in 2006; hence the want for a FI 3v from the start. However I can see the 5.0 fun out of the box and hold its own against cars in a higher price range

I totally agree with the first part of your post. My feelings exactly on the 05's to the 10's. Where I differ is on this new 2015, from what I'm seeing, I don't like it at all. It doesn't look like a Mustang.

As a SN95 owner too (94 GT), this new one smells of the 94-98 design. While I like my SN, it still doesn't capture the essence of "Mustang". It feels to Euro, and I'm afraid Ford is stepping backwards once again. It sounds like over time Ford is going to power down the muscle, and concentrate on handling.

They've peaked in the 2011-2014 range, and I'm afraid they're really screwing up, bigtime. A MUSTANG IS NOT A FUCKING EURO CAR! :) I've had this discussion often with my local Mustang buddies, we all feel the 2015 set is going to go the way of the SNs, they'll be less desired over time by the collectors because they don't have a classic muscle car feel to them. They look like every other plastic car out there, without any sort of tie back to classic Mustang.

I'm just glad I got my 2012.

I drove my buddies 3V the other day, stock and laughed at how slow it felt. Provided its not really a "slow" car, its certainly nothing compared to what the 5.0 is, and other cars I drive lol

With direct injection, another 25 to 50 HP, and 400lb less weight, the 2015 model will out-perform the 11 to 14 like the 11 to 14 outperformed the 3v 05-10s.

With the Camaro upgrading in 2016, Ford can't afford to rest on its laurels!

All you need to do with a 11-14 is put a paxton on it and you've got 600hp. For a street car I'm not sure why I would want more power than that. Getting there without needing boost in a '15 would be a plus but I highly doubt that's going to happen.

My KB car would hold traction from a roll in 2nd on street tires with good warm pavement. On drag radials it was g2g on the street in all gears, at least from a roll. Not sure if I ever tried a dig launch.

Want more. ;)

All of this 3v being slow stuff is trivial. At the time, it was a pretty good motor.

2005 Porsche Cayman S 291 bhp
2005 Porsche 911 325 bhp
2005 BMW M3 333 bhp
2005 Audi A4 252 bhp
2005 Mercedes C350 268 bhp
2002 Camaro 305 bhp
2005 Corvette 400 bhp

Been saying this for a looong time

Been from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It was much more clear after boosting the 5.0 about how bad I don't need 623rwhp lmao. I couldn't grip the road for shit lol.

I drove a 1600awhp car for 2 years and had 0 issues with traction really lol. Atleast not like the 5.0 had

I don't have traction issues with 420ish whp and 450ish wtq, but then again my rear tires are 12 feet wide lol.

And my torque is at 400 from 1500 rpm lol
