2015 Shelby Super Snake

Don't know what Shelby was thinking in providing a test car to Road and Track without pretesting and fixing issues. Entry level is $50k for 627hp, $55k for 750+hp (test car had 850 at crank). 1/4 mile result was 12.3 @ 116mph, slower than a 707hp Hellcat (12.0 @ 124.8). Apparently there was a lot of heat soak.
At Grattan Raceway, the Shelby was almost 2 secs a lap slower than a 2012 Boss Laguna Seca. Apparently the brakes on the Shelby were difficult to modulate.
What were they thinking?

That $50-55k price is PLUS the car itself.
