My biggest problem is not the money, I just don't look at the car and think "I gotta have one of those". I'm not going to buy anything that I have to talk myself into liking.
It looks like a stretched Chevette from the side. Blech.

Ok, I'll concede that it doesn't look like a stretched out Chevette from the side, however, that's what it reminded me of.Come on now. It's not that bad.
Haha yeah that was the only point I was going to make. The cost of a new 2007 mustang GT was what, around 25-28k? Ballpark figure of course. The cost of even a base 2018 is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I’d rather buy a used Shelby. Which would be the only other mustang I would purchase.
The only late model S550 Mustang I'm looking to purchase. The Vette/GT350/GT500 don't do it for me, but a Bullitt... always. I sound like a goofball, but the Bullitt is just understated cool factor to me.
Just needs level 2 performance package wheels + splitter and it's perfect.
Yeah one of my best friends runs a new car dealership (not Ford) and is trading for a 2014 GT500 with 2,000 miles. Black/black with matte black stripes, SVT performance pack, Recaros, and electronics package. I can have it for low to mid 40's. List new was $65,000. I don't want a black car, but that's a LOT of car for the $. Plus it still looks like a Mustang.
That's exactly what I'd be looking at if I was in the market for a Mustang - a 2013-14 GT500.Yeah one of my best friends runs a new car dealership (not Ford) and is trading for a 2014 GT500 with 2,000 miles. 2019 Bullitt serial #1 just sold at Barrett-Jackson for $300K!
Maybe not with the new tax lawYup. Charity proceeds sale. Somebody scored a huge tax deduction
If you can really get a 2014 GT500 with 2k miles for that price, you are crazy if you don't buy it. That would be a ~$50K-$55K car in my area. You could buy it, drive it for a year, and probably sell it and make some money.
I wouldn't knock it til you drive one. It's an amazing car. This is from someone who still kept his 07 GT500 and likes em both. The bullitt is the most un-BMW car out there. Amazing sound, manners and fast!I am a huge fan of the 08-09 Bullitt but to me this looks like a long BMW. The 08-09 had a strong lineage to the original. It was still a muscle car, not a pretender BMW like the current Mustang.
I guess I just said it out loud internet style. More than likely I'm becoming a grumpy old man lost in the recent past, lol.
