Liz. Why didn't you message me on Facebook? I have 4.10s about to come out off my car. We could have swapped gears...I'll let you have them. No excessive whine. Still have a few other goodies if your interested.

4.10 minimum. 4.56 are very street friendly too. You are talking about a manual 3v right?

this right here. 4.56's are an absolute blast on the street. run a set of 295/45/18's for street use and then a separate set of track wheels and you've got the best of both worlds.

i can still get a lil over 20mpg on the highway....16ish in town

even with the stock tr3650

i've had 4.10's, 4.30's and 4.56's....you won't regret the 4.56's but you need a tall tire

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of going to 4.56s?

i have a set of drag wheels and tires that are 26" tall. with that tire i redline in 4th just beyond the finish line

there are a lot of theories out there regarding tire size and gears, and i don't proclaim to be an expert.....but i think most folks would agree that a lower gear with a taller tire seems to work better....better acceleration with less wheel spin.

again, i'm not an expert. you might post the question over in the drag racing section.

On my NA 3v, I went from 4.10s/26" slick (mid 1.7 60s) to 4.56s/28" slick (low 1.5 60s) and ended up pulling the tires. The increased sidewall of the 28" tire dramatically increased traction for me as it absorbed the hit much much better.

Ended up dropping my 60' by more than 2 tenths and hit several 11s, I don't think it would have happened for me with the 4.10/26" setup.

The car was a daily driver, I loved the 4.56s on the street. A 27-28" drag radial is a must though.
