Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some advice on placing the 3H sensors on the S197 chassis. I saw a couple threads on the forum:

http://www.s197forum.com/threads/v3-is-finally-coming.123667/page-3

Both provide some options, but there's no follow up discussion (which may be a good sign).

My concern with the first link location is the removal of the tie down bracket and the large hole bored in the lining behind that. The front mount seems okay, despite the angle of the suspension and sensor being approximately 45 degrees off. I don't expect this should be a problem, however, as the travel of the suspension and arm are still parallel along the z-axis.

Regarding the second link, my concern with the rear is the angle, which leaves the linkage assembly at approximately 30 degrees off plumb to the suspension's direction of travel. The front linkage also makes use of a new hole drilled in the sensor arm, which I can only imagine severely impedes the travel distance.

So has anyone come up with a mounting solution that follows suspension travel closely? I'm not against bending some steel to fab up some brackets for the sensors, which I think is the next logical step.
