411 on Disabling TPMS via Forscan

Tired of the random dead TPMS batteries in my wheels on the 07. How involved is getting Forscan going to disable? I heard its possible and quite easy. I have a windows laptop and USB to OBD2 cable from my BMW days

I have an obdlink MX and used forscan to disable the warning and lamp. I probably wrote down somewhere what I did, and should check what's in the modules. Anyway, look here:

Roger that. What year is yours? I saw some conflicting stuff for 09. Mine being 07 I think this’ll work. I grabbed a new OBD2 cable that Forscan recommended off Amazon. Gonna give it a try. Did yours turn off fully, no chime warning or light?

I have a 2008. Worked perfectly, no issues for years. Not a peep out of the system!
