No overdrive so driving on hwy would not be fun
One of the considerations with me was retaining 5th gear (O/D) with the TCI SSF.
As well as keeping the TCI SSF with 5 forward gears for driving it on the street.
I may be doing a piss poor job of saying what I'm thinking here.
In other words mine drives with the TCI SSF just like it came from Ford.
My use is for driving 99% street use and traveling long distances.

I thought 5th was od. But guess I'm wrong and that one also doesn't have a manual vb either

You are correct, no Manual VB, that is what I would want. I know with the Bauman controller you have an option to run a separate program for the strip.

Bought my T56 magnum from JPC , great people to deal with, Since then I spent a few more bucks with them, came out happy each time. Will hopefully be taking the 2014 to them as soon as I get a break in the weather for a couple of small projects we have planned.I don't race my junk any more so its much easier to mod now. Always try and use the best in any case.
Have fun with the new power Terry be careful and Happy Motoring!!

I am currently building a 4r70 as well... here is the break down of what I have in it so far.

Low mile trans shipped to me. 500
New Manual trans brake valve body. 680
Hardened internals, rebuild kit, clutches, etc..700

Things I still need.
My guy is charging me 700 for the machine work and assembly. 700

What do you mean by machine work?

Rick,

JPC IMO surely seems to be a professional Performance Shop.
I ask them questions and got answers that made sense.
If I was a person and lived near them I don't think I would have any negative issue dealing with them.
Their pricing is just what it is and in my case if I get what I want I don't mind paying a FAIR price for that.
I think JPC's pricing is in line with the Performance Shop I have used over the last 6-plus yrs.

Ain't gonna be as long now until I will have the machine back in my garage. :hi:

Somebody really needs to come out with a standalone controller for the 6r80. That would be an awesome swap for you guys

Converter will be over.1000
Cooler/lines...100
Gauge..100
Auto pedal assembly..hoping 50 or so
Driveshaft...400
Trans cross member support either new or modify stock not sure on costs.
Random hardware trips for supplies/wiring/switches/fluid 150.00

I'm sure I'm forgetting something but add a shops labor rate in there and it's a hard pill to swallow. I can only buy one major piece a month.

What MVB did you get?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a used 4r75. But I'll need a MVB.

It is a PA Valve body... Bought it off Summit Racing... I spoke to Lenny and Dan at Silver Fox... From what I gathered they are all pretty much the same thing...
