5.0 DOHC Hi-Po Block?

So it looks like Ford really does have a special Hi-Po 5.0 DOHC block..... Is this a production block from '15 or a special casting? That's my question.

That looks like a '15 production block rendering I saw once before the cars became available.

I'd bet it's a production block. Somebody is gonna have a '15 head off for some reason and pics will put the question to rest. I've seen adamant arguments for and against the '15 having a new block.

I'm thinking the same. Someone posted this picture, or at least the same block, in a thread anticipating the '15s. They also thought that, due to some of new specs, the '15 blocks would possibly be capable of 1000hp.

That looks like the modified frpp block that 10 were given out for the water jacket mod.

Yes I believe so as well. Kelly posted a picture of a 2015 block from the parts catalog but I don't think the 2015 block has the water jackets like that.

If you go to www.fordparts.com and look up a production 5.0 block, the drawing looks just like that picture.
