At what point are bead locks a necessity (besides the obvious)? What screws would you recommend? They would be for hoosier drag radials on stock bullit rims.
I use the stock bullets widened to 10 inches with MT drag radials and typically in the life of the tire the left side drag radial will move all the way around the rim 2 times and the passenger side will move just over 1 time around. It all depends how much power you have that will make your results vary.
If you run w/ tubes you'll need rim screws if the tire is moving on the rim or you run the risk of tearing the valve off the tube. I run slicks w/ rim screw but w/o tubes.
