Just won a 50% off any BORLA exhaust system gift certificate.

I have 2005 GT twin turbo NO CATS...

Wondering what you all think?

Looking for a deeper sound, more rumble and less drone...auto trans... drone at 1600-1900 rpm...
DRIVES ME NUTS
NOW ...Flowmaster Axle Backs (Black muffler 4" tips)
anyone else for the touring?

Basic stinger setup(s type) imo. They drone less without cats, you just get used to them.

Automatic or standard tranny?

I had the Stingers on mine(automatic) and the Stingers droned horribly to the point I changed them out.

I have the Borla touring mufflers on now and love them, deep, no drone and no trumpeting.

I disagree completely about no cats=less drone....removing the cats make the air less "muffled" which will lead to droning.

I don't think you will see a lot of opinions on here about the touring; I did a lot of reading/research about them on svtperformance as they were more popular on the GT 500's.

I have been through:

Stock
Stingers
King of the Roads
Stock
GT 500's
Borla touring

Of them all the Stingers were the lightest and sounded the best outside the car but droned the most....the Borla touring sounds the best inside/outside the car.

If your not fan of drone, Corsa makes the RSC Drone free systems as well. I highly recommend them.

We had a set on Brents blue mustang when we all met up at Harley Davidson if you remember the sound.

Are you an automatic or stick? I know it's horrible on the auto's around 1700-2500 rpm's or 37-45 mph which in city driving or stop n go traffic is right where the car will be and it drove me nuts.
