Anyone have a GPS tracker on their car in case it's stolen?

My car was recently broken into, and while that sucked, I'm glad they didn't just take the whole car.

Got me to thinking about installing a GPS tracker. The units themselves aren't too expensive (compared to losing a car), but the service plans seem to be pricey.

The tracker needs to be hidden and have a battery backup.

Advice please?

I've only had the Guidepoint tracking system, but it is only activated at vehicle ignition.

Sorry to hear about someone breaking into your car, that is terrible.

I know insignia makes a tracking device that isn't too expensive. Runs on a battery, but could probably be wired in off of any suitable source in the car.
