I'm not sure if this was posted but this guy is making some advancements to take the 3V even further. It is a completely billet lower intake that will bolt up to a 3V but has the top machined to except any blower that will fit a GT500. I can see one of these in my future with a 3.6L KB or 4L Whipple in my future.

Here is the thread on Moddularfords...

it would be really nice to see a 3.6l Kenne Bell or 2.9/3.4l Whipple.

Oh damn! if the price is right this could be very popular with take off gt500 blowers for some cheap power.

If he could make it look less like a table though it would be awesome.

I bet that's cheap lol

He was mentioning it being around $2000 with everything minus the Supercharger. I am not sure if that is still the case but I will let him know he has some interest over here about it.

I believe his plan was to do something like Torq Tech had with 2V.

Who is making these?

DOB on Modular Fords...I think he is a member here also...I seem to remember him posting on here about the dedicated 10 rib system for KB cars.

It does look cool and is a great idea. However, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the $2000 price tag + the price of a GT500 take-off blower almost equate to a Vortech/Paxton price?

Yes I think that price would kind of void the whole point of doing something like this.

About time... that said dont care for the design too much, and the price is a bit high.

GT500 takeoff blowers are going for $700 give or take. Add that to the $1750 - $2000 for this kits and a few misc. items needed and this is a great deal if your looking for a cheap way to put a GT500 blower on a 3V. No one is trying to replace a Vortech/Paxton combo with this. This is a much cheaper solution than going with a Whipple or KB on a 3V. You could probably put this kit on for under $3500 compared to $6000 - $7000 for a 3V Whipple kit. Makes sense to me, and glad someone wants to innovate and jump all over the takeoff blower market.

The design needs improvement in the looks dept. however.

He would make more sales in volume than pricing it high.
You can bet that if it was $1,000 or lower he wouldn't be able to keep up with demand.
SC'd for 2 grand is pretty attractive to alot of people not going too crazy on their stock blocks.

700? Try $400 or less. Which is better. I have one in the classifieds here I've been trying to sell for months for $400.

Regardless, I agree. This would be an inexpensive alternative to the Roush/Whipple/KB's.

Agreed kinda defeats the point

You guys do realize the Intake is made completely of Billet correct? I think this is a steal for $2,000 and especially if he is going to sell with everything minus supercharger, injectors, and intake tube. Maybe it is just me but I wanted to buy a cast manifold from Whipple to run a A/W system with my turbo and they wanted $3,900 without intercooler.

Billet is nice, but when your trying to do a supercharger on a budget it just cost to much IMO. I would be happy with a cast piece myself, especially if it were considerably less cost.

what about the belt drive? does the gt500 snout line right up with the 3V belt routing or did he take care of this in the placement on the intake?
