I went to the stealership a few months back to see if u can make a deal with the new 5.0. My bullitt is an 08 with less than 8500 miles on the clock in flawless condition and they wanted to give me 19,000.00 trade in for it in wich case I turned down because I still owe about 18000.00 and the payments on the 4.0 would of been wat over my budget..honestly I wad hoping for about 24-25 thousand so u can have least a 5 thousand dollar down to give... right now I've heard that dealers are marking up the new 5.0 by 15% so its not the right time to buy anyways.

Dealerships aren't steeling anything.

That is the wonderful thing about dealing. If you don't like what they offer, don't accept. They obviously don't want your Bullet no matter how you feel about it.

thing is, by the time they trade for it, service, etc.., they'll own it for 19,000 to 20k, then you gotta put it on the lot and fight against 10's that can be had loaded for say 28k, vs yours at 23k, etc..

they give you 24, then they own it for 25-26k, and have to sell for 29k, doesn't make sense to most people

Im aware of the reasons and why they to so low, they are trying to make $$$ too. Just not practical for me. Payment is just too high and leaves me no room to play. They wanted $36,000 for that 5.0. Is that what you are selling them at beefcake?

I see....

Well toyed around with the car a bit tonight, trying to get the stumbling issues worked out. Still having some issues with it, my next guess is the COPs, so it looks like Im gonna have to grab another set of those to see if that might be the issue.

sorry to hear you are still having problems this far after the inital issue.

just for Shits & Giggles I just did a KBB Trade value on my 09 with 3,600 miles on her. They are saying $24,200...not bad really when you consider it's a 2 yr old model. But still doesn't make it worthwhile to me to take the butt-raping to upgrade to a 5.0 like you are considering. I'll eventually run a blower to even the HP/TQ gap and still will come up cheaper.

now if only I could find one of those 2010+ 6 speed transmissions laying around for a good price

Maybe ol Terry can get ya in there a little sooner.Make a call Tiger..LOL.Good luck man I hope you get it fixed up and keep it.
I certainly would if I could from my end.
They are booked-up as the guy I am riding up with tomorrow was going to add a few things and that was a No-Can-Do.
And I made the call for Him. (Did Not Help)
So, he changed his mind on that.
This is their Busy time of Year.
