Every few days I have a pile of dust on my SC pulley. It is mostly black with a few silver particulates. I'm guessing it's belt dust, but is this normal with a new belt or do I have a slippage problem?

Secondly, I've noticed that right at 900 rpm I can hear a whining noise from the engine bay when in the cabin. Above or below that rpm point the noise disappears. Listening with the hood up, I can't resolve where it's coming from. I believe it's likely the belt system, maybe one of the pulleys. Anybody got any ideas?

It's the whipple. You could be leaking a little oil from the seal. It's a very small amount but dust gets on that. Stanly has that issue. Could be belt slip, but with my cheap procharger I'm not familure with That. ;-)

No, you'll just have to rebuild the thing a few times over. :p
