Now we know there are many options to choose from when selecting a fuel system. Over the last year or so, Lethal Performance & DivisionX have teamed up to bring you the latest and greatest in a return style fuel system, ready to tackle nearly any power level on gas, or ethanol.
The newly released Walbro F90000267 (465LPH) is currently the only pump that Walbro now specifies as truly e85 compatible. Although for years, many of you have used the GSS342, among other pumps, to use in e85 system successfully.
DivisionX to the rescue.
With this news, DX quickly jumped to the machines and made sure that a bracket was made with the newest version of the fuel hats to accept these larger diameter pumps.
When our 03 Cobra was being featured in 5.0 Magazine you can see an example here of the very similar 400LPH pump being installed into the latest revision of the DivisonX hat.
Note- The only external difference between the two pumps, is the nipple on top of the 465 is about a 3/8" of an inch taller than on the 400, and has enclosed connections. This is where DivisionX is the only fuel hat manufacturer to utilize a way that accepts these new pumps, and not have any unneeded interference.
Now comes something we all love, basic math. The rule of thumb, is that e85 will require about 30% more fuel over pump. For example; a system that supports 1000rwhp will ideally support ~700RWHP with ethanol. That may vary, but that's a pretty solid average.
Regardless of the math, if you're looking for a system certified to work with e85, go with the only fuel hat ready to accept the e85 ready Walbro Pumps:

Also Note- When it comes to E85, pH levels in the fuel are not regulated for motor vehicle use. The pH levels can effect how a paper filter element handles the ethanol. Generally, paper elements WILL work, but you'll likely find yourself needing to replace them often. DivisionX is now offering a stainless mesh washable filter you can use for your e85 specific set ups. Select that upgrade in the drop down menu with the fuel system.
So there's no need to cut yourself short with other fuel hats that can't fit the pumps you need, noisy external pump systems, or older returnless set ups. Stick with the high quality, and great design that DivisionX offers, and never have to worry about fuel support anymore.
