Does anyone know of a drag radial for a 15" wheel that has an overall height of 29"?? With a 4.10 I will be out of gear before the stripe in the 1/4 mile. Currently running a 275/60 (28") MT radial and I need a touch more height in order to keep rpms reasonable.

Thanks guys.... I checked them out on summit's site and the Hoosiers were on backorder apparently. They did list a MT drag radial in 29.5" though, apparently thats a pretty new size. Last time I checked MTs site they didnt list it about a month ago.

Anybody know of someone that has used them and if they will fit under a lowered S197?

M/T ET Street Radial 315/60R15 (30 X 13.50R15), on Weld S71 15X9.25. these are 30" and I had to raise the rear by about 1" to keep from rubbing so I don't think the 29.5"s will work on a lowered car.
Good luck with your search

I was looking at the 295/65/15 radial that MT offers... little bit narrower, but still probably a touch too tall. Might just stick with the 3.73s and call it a day (at least till I get a tow rig and can run slicks without fear of carnage and getting to & from the track)

Jesus Christ that is a tall tire. I hope you got some big HP #'s. I run a 29.5, I am somewhat lowered (I have coil overs, relocated to the inside). It can be done, but you have to do some "clearance" work. My coil overs were relocated to the inside.

Yay, I know it's a lot of tire, but I needed some way to compensate :naughty1:

Stock with BAMA tune, and 4.10s, and yes manual trans (MT-82)

Holy overkill! Why would you want that tire on a virtually stock car? Thats the tire I ran on my racecar.
