Extra temp sensor?

Did a quick search didnt find anything. Has anyone added an external temp sensor instead of using the maf?

I'm installing a meth kit on my car but the meth sprays after the maf to the PCM wont see the temp drop and on a hot day will still pull timing..

A second IAT (IAT2) can be added into to the intake plumbing just like in the FRPP Whipple or Roush kits and wired into the PCM at pin 36 and 56 of the bottom connector and turned on in the tune.

Is it the same on the 2011?

Is what the same? The Whipple and Roush kits for the 2011 come with an IAT 2 and all that is needed to hook it up to the PCM and a tune that turns it on. I'm not sure if the sensor for the 2011 is the same as the one used in the posted link if that is what you mean.
