I finally picked up my m&h racemasters 325/40/18's d/r's and I'm gunna try them out on Sat at the track, my old tires were the nitto 555s 295/45's and I had to pretty much leave off of idle to not spin so much even with a 2nd gear burnout 17 psi on the rears, my best pass so far is 12.5 with a 2.010 60', spinning pretty good, I'm sitting at 700 rwhp with an f1a at 20 psi and I'm up at 6000+ ft elevation, (Denver). What's the best way to help drop my times? This is my first time running drag radials, I'm thinking dropping air pressure to 18 psi and 2nd gear burnout and try slipping the clutch out around 3500 rpms . Any suggestions?

Make sure u see 55-60 MPH on the burnout

Iirc. M&H told me 19 was the sweet spot for pressure.

I'd launch higher and slip the clutch.

U don't need that long of a burnout. Wheel speed = heat, so 3-5 seconds at 55-60 is my suggestion.

4500-5000 rpm sounds like a good starting spot.

With 666 RWHP I ran 10.51 on M&H Drag Radials and a number of 1.5x 60'. You should be able to do better than that at your power if the suspension is set up right.

Ran the car today my best run of the day was 11.8 @123 mph. With a 1.86 60' that was on a 2nd gear burnout and slipping the clutch out at 3500 rpms. It spun a bit off the line and alittle bit when I hit 2nd. I tried slipping it out at 4500 but but it spun and I missed 3rd gear. Tire pressure at 19 psi. I wanted to try a few other things but I only got 4 passes in .
