only 1 coat so far and i haven't gotten into all of the nooks and tight areas yet but it came out pretty good i think

next week i will disconnect some stuff and get into the tighter areas where i cant get a brush into

i agree but before it went on the car i was under the impression, as were most ppl on mf, that it was already coated from the pics of it new, not bare metal

They usually paint the stamped parts, the brackets and the housing ends but not the axle tubes...

Regardless, it can use a few coats of paint before it goes in...

Particularly the center section and ends can get toasty, so some ~500F paint is a good thing...
