GT550-S197 Coyote Kits are now ready and out in the wild.

Coty Batten of Batten Motorsports did the first three installs.

These are standard $4700 Phase III kits. You can do it for up to $900 less if you "build" your own kit based on a GT550-S197 Phase I.

556rwhp at only 10psi of boost and 6750rpm's.

Many, many people run Coyote's at 11psi and up to 7500rpm's. There is quite a bit more power to be had if you live closer to the "edge".

I've been watching the S550 5.0 - I keep reading it's good for Boss 302 RPM's and 700-800 crank horsepower without ever opening it up.

You can make 680whp with the S550 5.0 when running a big blower, Lt's, off road X, 3" exhaust, ID1000's, BAP, a "splash" of race fuel and 7800rpm.

So basically $3500-4000 in extra mods, race fuel and rod stretching RPM's.:whistle1:

Crank horsepower, crank! Roush has a 727 hp setup.
I think Roush is the only company that can advertise crank numbers. They actually have a ton of engine dyno's. I have a hard time believing that the other manufacturers have engine dyno's. And if they do are they pulling a motor out of a car and setting it up on the dyno to run for numbers? Idontfuckingthinkso.

That said crank numbers are stupid.:goofy_batman:

I would rather have a number from an engine on a dyno that has been tested under many different conditions than a one off rip on someones dynojet somewhere. Roush says 727, you can be sure you'll be there or better. Many other companies build stuff and have engine dyno's - westech, nelson, etc etc...
