Today i decided to install the hydraulic clutch line. Well i encountered a problem, as i was trying to remove the stock hydraulic line at the transmission, but the plastic elbow at the bellhousing popped out. For the life of me, i can't seem to put it back. Theirs not enough room in there...has anybody else encountered this problem?

If you happen to open the attached pdf and scroll to page 3 and 4 you will noticed a plastic elbow going into the transmission..... Well that plastic popped out of the transmission, not completely but its not seated as it was before...... Any thoughts on putting this sucker in without dropping the transmission?

Thanks, I'll look into the condition of the elbow. If it does indeed need replacement , has anybody done it without dropping the trans? Never thought a little plastic thing would cause me so much grief.

I think when I did mine I struggled a bit but finally got it to go. I had to remove it completely then try again a couple times. I used a long arm needle nose pliers to help with the task.

I did it without dropping the Trans. That plastic retainer sits clocked in the housing. If I remember it's clocked inward at the top. It's not straight up and down.

Like I said. The tabs break easy. Technicly you don't need it fastened to the housing. As long as the clutch line is attached firmly it can hang there. But I wouldn't be able to do that without my ADD going into overload.

What I mean by inward is the top sits closer to the Trans housing

I hooked up the line and elbow while the trans was still on the jack and not fully seated yet, made it a lot easier. My old one was cracked though so I did put in a new one as well.

Well i finally was able to remove that plastic elbow and insert the line correctly! Although i did break a plastic spacer that goes on the bellhousing and the throwout bearing hydraulic line

It seems like this holds the hydraulic throwout bearing line through the hole of the bellhousing but when i connected the elbow back and bled the clutch, there were no leaks. As a matter of a fact, my dad pressed the clutch pedal repeatedly while i was under the car and there is no movement whatsoever.... Still i will eventually replace everything those plastic parts when i upgrade the clutch.
