That's not entirely true, I have sent payments as gift using paypal and had to pay 3%.



I'll check, however the sender never pays IIRC, and when sent as a gift there's no fee. There's no fee either as I understand if you have money in your paypal account vs. having it come from your checking or CC.

I meant to point out that's the case if you use a credit card. I thought I typed that but it's amazing what a little moonshine will do lol

if you send as a gift the SENDER pays the fees. If you send as a payment the Receiver pays the fees. there are always fees.
