How to Identify engine

So I bought a used 2005 mustang gt a while back and I replaced the motor mount and bracket this week . On the passenger side of the engine bracket 1 bolt is off by 1 inch from center to center. I emailed BMR and they asked if it's a 5.4L engine block. Does anyone know how to identify the engine block or the engine vin bumper location? Thanks

The deck height of the 5.4 block is almost an inch taller than the 4.6. This spreads the heads apart so a 4.6 intake manifold is too narrow to bolt on a 5.4 engine. You can measure from the crank center to the cylinder head parting line and if it is 9” it’s a 4.6 and if it’s 10” it’s a 5.4.
