Has anybody installed a extra fuel pump in the passenger side of the tank? I was told to do this for road racing because of sloshing from side to side.

Any info would be appreciated.

Haven't heard of it being done but I have certainly wondered about it

Well, I looked at the passenger side and it has the twist fitting on the top with a couple of wires going to it. I'm sure it could be done. The gt500 pump comes with a pump module and basically splices into factory wiring. Can this be done for another pump, or will something blow?

A shop local to us tried this very thing, I know they had some problems related to the tank not venting correctly. In fact there was an article in Modified Mustang about this but they quit selling the kit almost immediately.

Considering we have seen over 700rwhp on twin GT supercar pumps with a single FPDM and upgraded fuel lines. I just don't see how running two baskets and the necessary plumbing would be any cheaper or provide any more fuel if only running one pump per side.
