is this even worth putting in the car?

Well I found these in my garage, cleaning it out one day, remembering that I had these for a truck I sold I while back. Theyre 2 JBL gt4-10 subs with a alpine mrp-m450 mono amp. question is when it comes time for me to upgrade the stereo system in the car, are these even worth putting in the car or should i look for some gear with more power? i dont want too much sound where u hear me for blocks but a high quality all around system. if this isnt the gear, what gear should i go for? JL audio? size? input would be great thanks. here's some URLS and pics of the gear.

depends on what you want out of it and how much you want to push AND how you want your speakers set up with the amp. Probably have a main amp for the subs and something like a 5 channel amp for the speakers inside the car. But that amp is a good amp but it wont really work for those two 1000w jbl's you got there.
