Convertible with no cage or the windows? I've been lucky with the convertible thing. My Vette went bottom 12's on a street tire and I was never questioned. Even though this car is a coupe, nothing was ever said about this car going 10's with no cage.. NMRA and NMCA don't like the tint.. especially the windshield, because it just makes the rest look darker with no light going in.

how long ago was that, the rules changed a few yrs ago, 13.49 now for a vert to require a roll bar. I've been hassled a few times over it when the car had gone 12.3s

The Vette was about 3 years ago, but I've run our Ronaele convertible and been 12.20's and the white car and been 10's in the past year. The only track that hassled me was E-Town in the convertible.
