Micke's DIY Stealth Blower Pulley Thread
Prob'ly been done before; I couldn't find it.
Various reasons for doing this; you decide if it's worth it or not. One added reason to all that for mine: Was a used pulley and a bit chewed up on the front most visible pulley lip.
Materials left over from painting stainless exhaust tips. I thought I may as well use 'em again here. Didn't know if 220# would be rough enough for material to be removed or not but it was:
Aluminum is soft, so after anodizing was gone, it went fast. Frickin' evil incriminating lettering is GONE:
Pulley cleaned a lot and masked. Red arrow points to a contaminant I missed which caused a colossal fish eye.
Suggestions/warnings: "Chirping" threads say that among the dozens of reasons that cause the dreaded chirping noise, paint rubbing against belt can do it. So I masked to avoid this; used razor knife to fine cut masking tape around the top of the inner bevel of the pulley rim
