Mustang Maximum Motorsports Roll Bar Drag Race 6-Point With E-Z-Remove Door Bars/Fixed Harness Mount Coupe 2005-2013 | CJ Pony Parts

Increase both safety and the rigidity of your Mustang's chassis with a Maximum Motorsports 6-Point Drag Race Roll Bar from CJ Pony Parts. This Drag Race roll bar includes E-Z-Remove style door bars to increase side impact safety. E-Z-Remove door bars are held in place with two bolts. Remove them and the door bar is gone in seconds. A fixed harness mount tube provides a safe attachment point for 5-point harness shoulder belts.

Maximum Motorsports manufactures all their Roll Bars from the highest quality materials and hardware. Made of 1-3/4" diameter by 0.134" wall DOM tube (much stronger than the more commonly used 0.120" wall ERW seamed tubing). Contour-hugging 6" x 6" mounting pads with backup plates sandwich the unibody for safe and strong mounting. All hardware is Grade 5 or higher. Maximum Motorsports roll bars are designed to fit with your stock Mustang interior.

The Maximum Motorsports Roll Bars for Mustang coupes are designed to bolt to the chassis, without welding. The floor pan is sandwiched between the roll bar mounting pads and the back-up plates underneath the floor pan. There is a significant clamping force between the two pads, providing a very secure method of attachment.

Great video, it looked like the side panel didn't fit very well around the base of the main hoop. Were you able to trim it so that it looks good? The way you have to cut up the interior is the main thing I have against the MM bar. Are the side bars going to be swing out or just removable? Doesn't MM offer the bar in Chrome Moly also?

The side panels fit ok but not great, the bracket under the panels is taller so I think you will have a small gap no matter what but I did not spend a lot of time trimming them since we are going to pull the hoop and weld the rear bars. I considered changing over to the 2011-2012 side panels as well but they are on the pricey side so once we get the bar welded and re-install it I will spend some more time getting the side panels to fit a little better.

The side bars are removable, they are not swing outs. You need to remove two bolts to get them out of the car. As far as I know MM doesn't offer the drag race bar in chromoly.

Very nice.... love the green powder coating done on the cage, looks great.

One of the few mods I am missing that I would love to have done, only matter of time.

Thanks for that video! I was wondering what all was involved in installing one of those. It looks like the door bars don't really add much work; most of it is the hoop and rear bars.

Good job with the video. Makes it look a lot easier than what I remember lol. Definitely would've helped watching that prior to the install.
