Howdy, s197 forum peeps.

I sold my 2010 4.0l sunset gold v6 a couple months ago and picked up a 2014 5.0 GT Premium in the Sterling grey metallic color. I have just recently hit 1400.00 miles on this thing and I am enjoying every minute of it. Whole different beast compared to the v6 I had and is even more of a beast then my S/C and cammed 2003 4.6 GT.

I have many plans for this car and with it only having 500 miles I started modding it. I have a serious problem I know...but all of us mustang owners do....
anyways onto the pictures and what I have done so far.

This is what my old 4.0 looked like...

And what the 5 oh looked like the night I picked it up at the stealership..

Got the car with 7.4 miles on it

First mods I did was the JLT oil separators on both sides. I know you don't need both sides but I went ahead and splurged....

After that I went ahead and purchased the Kooks Catback exhaust for the 11-14 mustangs.....had a shop lend a lift to me.

Little pricey for the catback but I think its worth it because of the sound..I will try to get a video for ya'll uploaded to youtube soon...

Next up I decided to do a rear seat delete. I know many have differing opinions on this but I like the idea of having no backseats. The stock seats and brackets with seatbelts and all weighed near 50 lbs...the seat delete I bought weighs 16 lbs and is made out of durable abs plastic so it can hold weight and the ABS plastic hides road noise so it feels and sounds like when the seats were there.

Next I went through and did the LED Bulbs for the dome lights and the license plate bulbs.
Install was pretty simple , I just pulled down on the dome assembly and then simply took out the stock bulbs and snapped in the new ones. I have trouble seeing yellow light so with the white light I can see A LOT better now.

The license plate bulbs were simply just removing the screws holding them in then take a small eyeglass screwdriver and pull down on them. They simply just pop out and pop the new ones right in. I am sure the cops love me now that they can see my license plate more clearly.

Along with the license plate bulbs I put my new plate frame on "Yes its fast, no , you can drive it". I know my car isn't the fastest car out there but I thought the plate was hilarious for when a ricer is behind you.

Good start. I don't think i've ever seen sunset gold before. I like it.

It was a unique color and was fully optioned with hids, glass roof, nav, leather seats, back up camera, etc. But it was time to move on to a v8. My old car was just recently sold by the dealership and I met the new owners at a local krogers where I happen to have seen them.

After the LED bulbs came the JLT carbon fiber cold air intake and VMP tune. Justin starkey did a awesome job on this tune. It shifts flawlessly and the car has much more "hype
" if you want to call it that. Since my car is a auto I also had to drill the whole for the vacuum line. I was scared at first but then went for it. Pretty simple once I got past the part of drilling a 400 dollar item that was brand new...

First picture is the piece that I had to drill the whole for. Luckily it came out just fine.

During the install...pretty straightforward just a few bolts and unhooking a couple of things.

After install was complete....feels like a different car after this. The new JLT intakes come with a stop for the filter so you don't put it too close to the MAF sensor and caused problems when driving.

Tuner to install the 93 octane race tune from VMP tuning.

Can't forget the one thing that I think should have been put on these cars stock is the hood strut kit. I ordered the MRT hood struts as the MMD ones I had on my v6 from American muscle weren't too great. I really like these MRT ones. Once again install was pretty simple..just a couple bolts. I had a helper so they could hand me tools and hold the hood just to make things a little easier.
