Is this a common difference?

318hp/340tq Dynojet 3rd gear pull w/ tr3650

287hp/307tq Mustang 4th gear pull w/ tr6060

Is the large difference due to the dyno's or the gears they were done in or both... and then there is the transmission differences...??

there usually is a difference... 8-12% is the common wisdom

but both pulls should have been in 4th a 1:1 ratio

I'd say both. The dynojet will generally give higher numbers. But doing a pull in 3rd gear gives useless crap numbers. I know this from experience.

yep with the dyno calibrated for a 1:1 ratio the car needs to be in 4th gear since that is the 1:1 on these cars with the 3650 and 6060. the higher torque number is because the mutliplication in the trans is different. Cody knows all this and I am sure it was a 4th gear pull. We made 15 pulls on my car to get it right and they were all in 4th gear.

Correct...

Both in 4th gear, my mistake.
