The MT radials are not cheap. If BFG still made this size I'd get them again. But they stopped making them.

Ya know what. I tottally mis-read the title of this thread. For some reason I was thinking slicks in 18's. My bad.

Sorry about that.

But 18'' drag radials. I just got some because traction sucks that much. I am just going with Nitto555R though because they are cheaper and do the job for the road.

When it comes to track... MT FTW!!!!


Plus you can get the Nitto555R from discounttiredirect.com I think I paid 476 shipped to my house.

Skeeter.... I've not heard good things about Nittos as grip.... wear yeah they are the longest lasting for life.... my cars a garage queen for the most part. I have it now just shy of 23 months and it has 6100 miles on the clock. So for me traction is more an issue. And Nitto doesnt make a 555r to fit a 8.5" wide rim and near 27" tall.

So that's why I sent with the 265/40( a bit short - helps gear a bit) but its the closest I could find.

I have 305/45/18 on my 18's right now and its a 29'' tire.

I know nitto's arn't the best but for the street that are great I think. Its not like you need all the traction you would need at the track when you go to the grocery store ya know.

I want to thank Jared @ Lethal for going out of his way to find these tires, get me a price and take an order that (I hope) has shipped today!! He went above what I would have expected... 5 pms, an IM conversation(way after business hours), a web page just for my order and a call to my office to take the order when the website wouldn't!!!!
