after reading all this talk about failure of phasers, camfollowers it has me worried to say that least.

the oil control housing on the front cam journal- i understand the reasoning why there is a seq. in loosing the camshaft but has anyone just removed the oil control housing only without damaging the camshaft?> does anyone have more info and pics for everyone looking to clean both of them? what about mileage, oil used? i have an early build 08 that i drive 100 miles everyday in NYC/LI traffic so oil pressure/flow is a concern for me

and about the lockout or limiter kits for phasers, anyone install them on a stock motor? id see it as less things to break especially since they already have a bad reputation, but of courseit would sacrafice hp/tq or even add hp?

thanks.

Really man there is like 4 or 5 threads in the first 2 pages of threads in this section answering everything you just asked and then some. Do a little more reading.

I haven't seen a pic of a clogged oil control housing yet, I've only read post on damage cam followers and damaged housings, if you don't like the post and can't help then fuck you. Pretty simple I've used the search and seen no pics

Woah man take it easy. No need for that. Like he stated we have a few threads about this already. The mods on this board don't like repeating threads over and over that have the same general content as others, that's why The Kurgan was pointing you to the other threads. He wasn't trying to be a dick. Good luck.

There are plenty of pics I know I posted of the housing and where it can get clogged. That may not be the problem at all but there is enough info in those threads to diagnose and fix it yourself...at LEAST a starting point.
