The passenger side is a smaller hose and pulls from in front of the Throttle Body.
The Drivers is larger hose and pulls in after the TB.
The idea is the higher vacuum after the TB pulls air in from the passenger side and out the drivers side.
I have used heater hose with no issues since 2006 and have had no issues with it whatsoever.
But I would recommend Fuel line if available as it is better suited to the chemicals you may encounter. I have never had mine collapse and it works great to this day.
I sure get a lot out of the filter (Couple tablespoons at a time).

Kenne Bell includes the husky and has you use it on the driver's side keeping the system closed.

I read the post from JDM earlier which tends to suggest this is not a good setup for an FI car and that breathers need to be used.

I was thinking of just upgrading the separator to a nicer one and leaving the system closed but now I'm not sure what to do.

Yeah, you can buy a water/air separator from Lowe's or Home Depot and make your own oil separator... But I don't recommend that considering how much oil/fuel accumulates...

With one of these, you'd probably be emptying it out every day or other day...

Steeda sells a similar one to the Lowe's/Home depot DIY version...

I bought this one:

I have the Steeda one. Looking to upgrade to a better one...thoughts???
