I agree Coyote swap is the way to go and an extra 100 hp stock.

That is one of my options, but I'm leaning a bit more towards a built 3V instead. Lito put the idea in my head, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with some of the issues that come up with a Coyote swap.

If Lito would tune the Yotes' a bet a lot more people would go that route.

It can be done in the car, but I'm assuming that the piston is messed up, so the whole thing will have to come out. I'm hoping to get some time to work on it this weekend, but I may not be able to.

Thanks for the reply. I'm wondering what most shops would do. If I have to pull both heads it might be easier to do it with the motor out.

I might have a head gasket starting to go so ....

I won't thread hijack anymore.

Hopefully your piston is okay.

He tried talking me into a 5.0 swap with the 3V PCM, but I wouldn't want to do that and give up the Ti-VCT. I think once he gets more experience tuning '15s, he can probably translate that backwards into 11-14.

Yeah it sucks. Theres nothing you can do about it and it's just one of those things that happens.

If they're just doing a head gasket, probably leave the engine in the car. I doubt it's OK, but I will find out tomorrow!

Got the head off today. I about fell over laughing when I saw that piston. Think I can just get the head fixed and run it?

Maybe if you can find the piece that broke out you might be able to just weld it back in place. Would be a lot easier than all that engine rebuilding bullshit.
