I have an 06 gt and was wanting to turn it into a 1200whp weekend warrior with track duty. I have a built 4r70w and everything else but motor decided on and what power adder. What would be the best route to go? 8.9s at the track and drivability are a must along with survivability. Car will prolly be close to 3800 pounds with me in it roughly

You're in the wrong forum. Please review the posting rules before starting stupid threads like this in Tech.

Can't be done. There is no need to discuss it further.

Who built the trans? Is it lockup or non lockup? What fuel system? What power adder are you going with?

I agree with Bruce, however, for shits and giggles. 5.4l 4v swap with twin 68 MM turbos or a big single, running on E85

Your trans is probably not up to 1200 and neither is your wallet based on how you have asked the question

I know nothing about 3v's, but couldnt you just go with a fully filled block and up the compression? With a big ass power adder?

I'm sure it COULD be done. But it's gonna cost a ridiculous amount of money. That's for damn sure.

OP,

Just my $0.02, if you want a car that's gonna run that fast, give up the idea of driving it on the street. I seriously doubt you have the budget for that, because I guarantee you're looking at over six figures.

But getting a dedicated track car to those numbers? Totally doable for a lot less than that.

Mabe a high compression (12.0:1) motor with twin 67mm turbos and E98? I'm sure it could be done it would just be pricey as hell.

I'll take "Things I Never Have Any Interest In Driving On The Street" for $500, Alex!

You want 1200hp for the street? Start looking into a Bugatti. If you don't want a Bugatti, get together the money that you would need to purchase a Bugatti, and then put that same amount into the Mustang.

Easiest way to make 1200hp with a 3v? Spray. 900 shot of nitrous would be about right.
Let me know how it goes for you.
