On my last car, I painted the calipers with Grill paint. I painted them black though and I haven't seen red in grill paint. I guess there aren't many people out there that want to flip burgers on a red grill. LOL!

Anyhow, as long as you use high temp paint and high temp primer, it will last just fine. The prep work to get them ready to paint is more important than anything else when considering longevity. The calipers have to be extremely clean, slightly scuffed and then cleaned again to be finished off with a liberal dousing of a cleaner that leaves no residue, I used electrical parts cleaner, to remove any skin oils. Then warmed to a good 80° constant while being painted and during the drying process.

I've seen my old car driving around Panama City a few times over the last three years. Calipers are still good. It's all in the prep.

But yeah, I'd just do powdercoat and be done with it.

Something tells me that I will be talking to you in the near future about these very brakes...
Sounds good, look forward to it! They look great right now BTW. Considering the fact that you painted over the factory finish they will probably actually look good for quite a while.
